Also, it was because of Pascua Florida, the Festival of Flowers, from the Spanish Easter season. If anything, wouldn't the origin "flor" already listed include this? ::Be that as it may, if the region was based on the United States, I would give it a second thought. IMO, Florian being possibly based on the US State of Florida is a stretch. [[Juliana]] has no such references to that, if anything, both names are more closely related to youth, springtime of their lives. I'd advise not editing it back before reaching an agreement here.
