Joe does not dress up as a Pokémon and, as a result, when the game is played on "Level 50 All," the player receives no special costume after beating him. He is the final foe of the first and fifth sets of the [[Stargazer Colosseum]] Masters Battle. He is shown to be extremely fond of the move {{m|Protect}}.
