 He is a descendant of [[Hisashi and Tsukiya|Tsukiya]], the younger brother of Hisashi, the first lord of [[Eclipse Castle]]. Tsukiya had tried to dethrone his own brother, but failed to do so, after which his descendants, including Katsuki, would carry the shame of the failed coup with them. Because of this, Katsuki wanted to avenge his ancestor by trying to prevent [[Haruhi]] (a descendant of Hisashi) from becoming the new lord of Eclipse Castle.

Katsuki sent out his Pokémon to battle Haruhi and Chloe, only to be defeated.
