I get what you mean that she's not been labeled a protagonist, but it's not like the show explicitly labels who's a main character and who isn't (aside from Ash of course). It usually depends on promotional trailers/marketing and appearances alongside Ash and Goh. | |||

Supporting anime characters would usually be a rival of one of the main characters, but recently Chloe has been accompanying Ash and Goh a LOT more than before, now that she has a Pokemon of her own. | |||
