Where is the source for this? I just checked the subbed version of the movie, and the exchange when Ash meets that Mewtwo is the same as the dub - "You are-" "I am Mewtwo." No mention of the previous Mewtwo or this one identifying itself as a different one. I'm removing that item for now. You see, with Mew, no one claim the one from Journeys is the same Mew as the one appearing in M01 just because they both are voiced by Yamadera. So, why should we claim the same about Mewtwo? Yes, it was voiced by Masachika Ichimura, but that is the only connection it has with this Mewtwo. On the other hand, my doubt is supported by the fact that while in JN046 Ash recognizes Mewtwo, Mewtwo doesn't seem to have the same recognition of Ash he had in Mewtwo Returns.
