In the Pokémon Adventures manga
The Rolling Fields appeared in PASS04, where Sōdo, Shirudomiria, Professor Magnolia, and Marvin arrived there to investigate the local Pokémon Dens. Before they could do so, however, Sōdo and Shirudomiria received a delivery containing their Gym Challenge uniforms. They were then attacked by a pair of Team Yell Grunts, who wanted to destroy the uniforms to make them the two Pokédex holders give up their Gym Challenge and thus better Marnie's odds of winning it instead.
While they battled the Grunts, Sōdo came up with a plan, and he and Shirudomiria dragged the Grunts into a Pokémon Den with them, forcing them to team up with their opponents in a Max Raid Battle against a Dynamax Gurdurr. After Gurdurr was defeated and caught by Sōdo, the defeated Grunts left in frustration.
