Legendary Pokémon

Generation VIII: What? Gen 6 had 3, which is less than 2. (Granted, Eternatus is definitely a legendary, but that's "technically" still unconfirmed.)
Many Legendary Pokémon can be obtained at most once per save file (excluding [[Event Pokémon|Pokémon events]]); in order to obtain multiple, a player would need to [[trade]] Pokémon between games. However, in some cases, there are multiple Legendary Pokémon of the same species either found or mentioned in-game, even though they are not available to the player.
