Frosmoth (Pokémon): Difference between revisions

Frosmoth appears to be based on members of the {{wp|Gynaephora}} genus of alpine or Arctic moths. One particular species, the {{wp|arctic woolly bear moth}} that can enter a dormant state that allows it to endure temperatures as low as {{tt|-158 degrees Fahrenheit|-70 degrees Celsius}}. Considering its large size and green-hued Shiny palette, it may also be inspired by the {{wp|Saturniinae|giant silk moths}}, specially the nocturnal {{wp|Luna moth|Luna}} and {{wp|Indian moon moth|Moon moth}}s. This may be further supported by the fact that its wings have elongated tails and resemble translucent white {{wp|silk}} fabric. Frosmoth may also draw some inspiration from fluffy {{wp|flannel moths}}.
