Substitute (move)

90 bytes added, 23:49, 20 December 2019
Generation VI onwards: If something with a Substitute Dynamaxes, the Substitute will be lost.
Another Pokémon's {{m|Dream Eater}} can now affect a Pokémon's substitute and acts the same way as other damaging draining moves. {{m|Pain Split}} can now affect a Pokémon's substitute.

===Generation VI onwards===
Substitute no longer blocks {{cat|sound-based moves}} (such as {{m|Metal Sound}}) or any moves used by Pokémon with the Ability {{a|Infiltrator}}, except {{m|Transform}} and {{m|Sky Drop}}. The moves {{m|Hyperspace Hole}}, {{m|Hyperspace Fury}}, {{m|Play Nice}}, and {{m|Spectral Thief}} can also bypass a substitute. {{m|Aromatherapy}} can still heal the user's status conditions if it is behind a Substitute, but will now fail to affect an ally behind a Substitute. Substitute will prevent {{m|Knock Off}} from discarding a removable held item, however Knock Off's power will still be increased.

If powered up by a [[Normalium Z]] into Z-Substitute, all of the user's lowered stats are reset.

===Generation VIII===
If something with a Substitute [[Dynamax]]es, the Substitute will be lost.

===Unaffected moves===
