Pokémon Pikachu 2 was a giga-pet toy that was released in fall of [[wp: 2000|2000]] (shortly after the release of [[Pokémon Gold & Silver]] for the [[Game Boy Color]]). The giga-pet toy was a spin-off of [[Pokémon Pikachu]] which was released back in [[wp: 1998|1998]]. Like in Pokémon Pikachu, the user would have to take care of Pikachu (like a real pet).
