→‎Trivia: STOP inserting this "glitch": it is fake. This was debunked years ago. The trainer doesn't move to the original position. Test it yourself before adding it here. Here's a test: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vuzmku19l58. Do not add it again.

* Misty, the Cerulean City Gym Leader, likes to bring her dates to the Cerulean Cape on the east side of Route 25. One such date was interrupted in Generation II when the player encountered Misty at the land bridge between the two ponds following the restoration of power to Kanto. In HeartGold and SoulSilver, the date instead takes place on the hill located just east of the cottage.

* In HeartGold and SoulSilver, Misty mentions how she loves watching the sunset when talking to her, yet she is on the east coast staring off into the east, while the sun would set in the west.

* In the Generation I, III, and VII games, it is possible for the player to permanently trap themselves on this route. Normally, the TM for Seismic Toss (Generation I), Secret Power (Generation III) or Thunder Wave (Generation VII) requires the HM for Cut to access. However, by battling the trainer blocking the other exit to this area from at least three tiles away, it is possible to get them to move out of the way enough for the player to get into an isolated area of Route 25 and obtain the TM without having the HM for Cut. If the player saves and quits the game in this area, when the game is reloaded, the trainer will have moved back to their original position and the player will be trapped in this small area. The only ways out without Cut are either for the player to have caught a Pokemon that knows Teleport, or to have first traveled to Vermilion City and obtained the Vs. Seeker before trapping themselves (in FireRed/LeafGreen only). While there is no tall grass in the trapped area to intentionally lose to wild Pokemon and be teleported to a Pokemon Center, the Camper blocking the way can be battled again and the player can lose on purpose to escape. If neither of these conditions are true, though, the player will have no choice but to start a new game.
