* In {{game|Emerald}}, Cooltrainer Dianne in {{ho|Victory Road}} has a Lanturn that knows {{m|Earthquake}}, even though it cannot legitimately have the move in any generation.
* In [[Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness]], Cooltrainer Noxon has an {{p|Articuno}} that knows {{m|Sheer Cold}} at level 64, which it cannot learn until level 85 in Generation III.
* In {{game|HeartGold and SoulSilver|s}}, Ace Trainer Nick has a {{p|Squirtle}} that knows {{m|Curse}}, which is a move it cannot legitimately obtain in thatany generation.
* Also, in Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, there is a [[List of glitches in Generation IV#Ace Trainer Kate oversight|glitch]] with Ace Trainer Kate. If the player leaves the area after completing the double battle with Jenn and Irene then comes back and talks to Kate from the side; she will speak to the player as if they had already battled. If the player then walks down towards her, she will battle the player while face the wrong direction.
