It was used in a [[Contest Battle]] against [[Zoey]] and her {{TP|Zoey|Glameow}} in ''[[DP093|Playing The Leveling Field!]]''. ItMismagius reappeared in ''[[DP101|Barry's Busting Out All Over!]]'' and again in ''[[DP102|A Shield with a Twist]]'', where it was used in the [[Gym]] {{pkmn|battle}} against {{Ash}}. It battled against {{AP|Chimchar}} and was defeated by Ash's [[Counter Shield]] strategy.
 
Zoey'sA Misdreavus was revealed to haveMismagius evolved into a Mismagiusappeared in ''[[DP176|Coming Full-Festival Circle!]]'', under the ownership of Zoey. It was revealed to have evolved from Misdreavus. Mismagius was used in the semifinals of the [[Sinnoh Grand Festival]] alongside Zoey's {{p|Leafeon}} to battle [[Nando]]'s {{TP|Nando|Kricketune}}]] and {{p|Lopunny}}. Mismagius and Leafeon managed to win against Nando based on points.
 
A Mismagius appeared in ''[[M13|Zoroark: Master of Illusions]]'', under the ownership of [[Grings Kodai]], who has owned it since it was a {{p|Misdreavus}}. Years ago, when Kodai first discovered the [[Time Ripple]], Misdreavus was present at the scene. After evolving, Mismagius still served Kodai faithfully and helped him by using its {{m|Psychic}} to prevent Ash from stopping Kodai from taking the energy from the Time Ripple and renewing his ability to see the future. Mismagius was later defeated by {{AP|Pikachu}}'s {{m|Volt Tackle}}.
Two Mismagius appeared in ''[[BW135|Mystery on a Deserted Island!]]'', where at least one of them was part of the {{OBP|Pirate|BW135}}'s Pokémon crew. Multiple Mismagius later appeared on the {{OBP|Deserted Island|BW135}} with the treasure. They were the first Pokémon to attack the group as well as {{TRT}}.
 
A Mismagius appeared in ''[[SM053|Rescuing the Unwilling!]]'' and ''[[SM054|10,000,000 Reasons to Fight!]]'', under the ownership of [[{{an|Lusamine]]}}. Under the control of a {{DL|RecurringUltra wild Pokémon in theBeasts (anime)|Nihilego}} who was possessing Lusamine, it attacked Ash and {{ashcl}} before Nihilego was defeated.
 
A Mismagius appeared in ''[[SM094|A Haunted House for Everyone!]]'', where it played with [[Harper and Sarah]] at the [[Pokémon School]] and in the dream filled with several other {{type|Ghost}} Pokémon, which it created.
Fantina owns a Mismagius that first appeared in ''[[PS351|Perturbed by Pachirisu]]''. {{adv|Platinum}} later battled Mismagius in her Gym battle against [[Fantina]]. She was very powerful and shrewdly manipulative using her illusion attacks, and using {{m|Trick Room}} to use {{TP|Platinum|Empoleon}}'s speed against her, defeated both Empoleon and her {{TP|Platinum|Ponyta|Rapidash}} before {{adv|Diamond}}'s {{adv|Lax}} finally took her down at the last minute.
