'''Genyo Takeda''' (Japanese: '''{{j|竹田 玄洋}}''', born December 7, 1949) is a game designer and director who works for [[Nintendo]]. Upon [[Satoru Iwata]]'s death, [[Shigeru Miyamoto]] and Takeda temporarily served as Representative Directors of Nintendo together.<ref name="R.I.P.-J">[http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ir/pdf/2015/150713.pdf Nintendo's Corporate Press Release] (Japanese)</ref><ref name="R.I.P.-E">[http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ir/pdf/2015/150713e.pdf Nintendo's Corporate Press Release] (English)</ref> He retired in 2017, and in 2018 he accepted a DICE Lifetime Achievement Award for his work in Nintendo.
