==Biology==
Doublade resemblesis twoa swordsPokémon sheathedcomposed onof atwo plaqueswords. Each sword has a silver blade and a light gray hilt. Embedded in each hilt is a single, pink eyegem with a blackdark center that appears to be an eye. Attached to each pummel is a long, lineardark pupilpurple sash with a pink swirl pattern on the hilt,tip; asthe welltip asof the sashes split into four tassels. Doublade has two sheathes that are attached to a pink,plaque. The sheathes are varying shades of brown with lines forming a {{wp|triquetra}} pattern across the front. Near the top of each sheath are white tasselteeth-like armmarkings emergingand fromrings with white centers that resemble eyes. A third ring extends onto the handlehilt and encircles the actual eye. The swords are able to communicate telepathically, and they use this ability to carry out complex attacks that are unstoppable even toby those skilled at swordplay.

Doublade debuted in ''[[M17|Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction]]'', under the ownership of [[Argus Steel]]. It was commonly used by Argus's daughter [[Millis Steel|Millis]] for transport.
 
Doublade made its main series debut in ''[[XY119|A Full-Strength Battle Surprise!]]'', under the ownership of [[Sawyer]], where it was revealed to have [[Evolution|evolved]] from his {{p|Honedge}}. It was used in Sawyer's {{pkmn|battle}} against {{Ash}}, but was defeated by {{AP|Noivern}}. It evolved into {{p|Aegislash}} sometime before ''[[XY126|Valuable Experience for All!]]''.

In ''[[PAXY34|Charizard Transforms]]'', [[Celosia]] used a Doublade in her {{pkmn|battle}} against {{adv|Shauna}} on the route to [[Pokémon Village]]. It was later used against Shauna again in ''[[PAXY38|Xerneas Gives]]'', only to be defeated by Shauna's Kitty.
