Eon duo (Adventures): Difference between revisions

After his conquest of the Battle Factory, Emerald calls Latias and Latios down to help him investigate the {{TP|Emerald|Sceptile}} he took from there. With their help, Emerald comes to the conclusion that the Sceptile is not a [[rental Pokémon]] and someone must have planted it in the Battle Factory. The conversation is interrupted by the appearance of {{FB|Dome Ace|Tucker}} and {{FB|Pyramid King|Brandon}}, forcing Latias and Latios to leave. After Emerald conquers the Battle Pike, he meets with Latias, who appears disguised as a maid. Latias introduces herself to Emerald's friend, [[Todd Snap|the reporter]], and tells him about Emerald's ability to pacify Pokémon that have gone out of control. Latias assists Emerald in finding more smuggled Pokémon and pacifying them before they go berserk and attack innocent people.

As Emerald challenges the Battle Pyramid, the Frontier Brains discover that one of their allies was attacked and several rental Pokémon were taken from the Battle Factory. Fearing that they may blame Emerald after taking Sceptile from the Battle Factory, the reporter heads to the Battle Pyramid to warn Emerald. As he runs over, he bumps into Latias, who appears in the guise of a member of the press. Using her and Latios's Sight Sharing ability, Latias shows the reporter a scene of Emerald battling at the top of the Battle Pyramid from Latios's perspective. After Emerald conquers the Battle Pyramid, he is confronted by the Frontier Brains, who ask him about the Sceptile he took. Emerald explains that he isn't the one who stole the rental Pokémon, and that his mission at the Battle Frontier is to find the Mythical Pokémon {{p|Jirachi}}. The Frontier Brains find this reveal suspicious, but decide to trust Emerald and follow him to [[Artisan Cave]], where Jirachi currently resides. Emerald leads the Frontier Brains by sea with Latias and Latios helping him move over the water.

During Emerald's challenge of the Battle Dome, the reporter looks over the various photos he took of Emerald. He shuffles the pictures, but accidentally cuts his finger in the process. After calling the front desk for some disinfectant, Latias appears, disguised as a nurse with a first aid kit. Latias reveals to the reporter that Emerald asked her to help investigate the armored man, [[Guile Hideout]]. When Guile manages to capture Jirachi and attacks innocents with the stolen rental Pokémon, Latias takes the reporter to go investigate and meets with Latios. They head to the Battle Palace, where they meet with {{FB|Palace Maven|Spenser}}, who begins revealing Guile Hideout's secrets. With their sight sharing, Latias and Latios relay this information to Emerald, forcing Guile to reveal his true identity.

* In the authors' words corner of Pokémon Adventures volumes [[Pokémon Adventures volume 27|27]] through [[Pokémon Adventures volume 36|36]], Latias would appear inside the guise of a human alongside the Pokémon avatars of [[Hidenori Kusaka]] and [[Satoshi Yamamoto]] as they tour through the Hoenn and Sinnoh Battle Frontiers.

Latios is first seen with Latias, where they transport Emerald to the Hoenn Battle Frontier. Upon landing, Emerald thanks the two for their help and waves goodbye.

When Guile attacks the Battle Frontier after capturing Jirachi, Emerald is forced to leave his team at the Battle Palace while he tries to confront Guile at the Battle Tower. There, he faces {{FB|Salon Maiden|Anabel}}, who was put under Guile's mind control, but is eventually defeated despite having new Pokémon to use in battle. Latios arrives in time to deliver Emerald's regular team, which have successfully obtained the Spirit Symbol. After Guile begins flooding the Battle Frontier with his fake Kyogre, Latios and Latias assist during the battle by taking innocents to safety while Emerald and the other Pokédex holders battle Guile. Latios also assists by using Hometown Soil from Faraway Island to free all the rental Pokémon from Guile's control. After Guile is defeated, Latias and Latios watch as Emerald celebrates Guile's defeat with his new friends. Feeling that Emerald now has true companions, Latias and Latios decide to return to their home on Southern Island.
