The Snag List can also show detailed information about all known Shadow Pokémon, such as gender (which is either indicated as male, female, or ? in the case of genderless Pokémon), the Trainer that had the Pokémon earlier, the location the Pokémon was seen the first time, and the purification status (either purified or heart closed). If the player successfully catches a Shadow Pokémon, the Snag List will reflect this with a Poké Ball icon (a regular one if purified, a shaded one if not purified). At the beginning of both games, most of these entries consist of Pokémon already seen by the player, but as the player progresses, there will be limited information for previously unseen Shadow Pokémon as well.

In Colosseum, the Snag List is updated by the Kids Grid while in Pokémon XD, the P★DA can download a list of created Shadow Pokémon from a list left on Gorigan's desk.
Overview
The Snag List is found in the P★DA to show what Shadow Pokémon the player has or has not encountered or snagged. ===Updates===
At the beginning of both games, most of these entries only consist of Pokémon already seen by the player, but as the player progresses, there will be limited information for previously unseen Shadow Pokémon as well. In Colosseum, the Snag List is updated by the Kids Grid, while in Pokémon XD, the P★DA can download a list of created Shadow Pokémon from a list left on Gorigan's desk.
