-Alolan's Raichu alternative name, Hodad, as seen in the Ultra Sun pokédex entry, seems to be a direct reference to the term  [[wiktionary:hodad|hodad]]. This might be a reference on how it isn't able to learn {{m|Surf}} (except by evolving an event Pikachu) despite looking like a surfer.
