Gastly (Pokémon): Difference between revisions

Gastly first appears in ''[[PS014|That Awful Arbok!]]'' under the ownership of [[Koga]], possessing the corpses of dead Pokémon in [[Pokémon Tower]]. {{adv|Red}}'s [[Saur|Bulbasaur]] manages to defeat it by sucking up the surrounding air with its bulb, along with Gastly's gaseous form, and expelling it in a {{m|SolarBeam}}. In the process, the two also freed Red's rival {{adv|Blue}}, who was under its ghostly possession.

Gastly also forms as part of the {{type|Ghost}} army [[Agatha]] sends out to attack the [[Gym Leader]]s in ''[[PS049|As Gastly as Before]]''. She also has a Gastly as a member of her main team.

The [[Masked Man]] also used a Gastly which it first appeared in''[[PS103|You Ain't Nothin' but a Houndour]]'', in his team to capture {{p|Celebi}}, due to its type advantage. It was purposed to possess intruders that entered the [[Ilex Forest]]. Later, during the fight at the [[Indigo Plateau|Indigo Stadium]], it impaired {{p|Suicune}} using its {{m|Curse}} technique, locking it and [[Misty]] inside Suicune's crystal wall. It was later defeated by [[Eusine]]'s {{p|Haunter}}.

[[Morty]] also has a Gastly which was used along with {{p|Misdreavus}} to battle {{p|Suicune}} in ''[[PS125|Misdreavus Misgivings]]''.

In ''[[PS179|The Last Battle XIII]]'' a Gastly was one of the Pokémon sent to help the fight in [[Ilex Forest]].

A Gastly was also seen briefly in ''[[PS275|A Vicious Cycle of Possibilities]]'', under the ownership of a {{tc|Biker}} whose gang attempted to ransack [[Three Island]].

Many Gastly also appear in the ''[[PS345|Robust Rotom]]'' when {{adv|Diamond}}, {{adv|Pearl}}, and {{adv|Platinum}} spend the night in the [[Old Chateau]].

In ''[[PS426|Softening Up Kakuna]]'', a Gastly was used by a Trainer that was challenging the [[Battle Factory (Sinnoh)|Battle Factory]].

A Gastly appeared in [[PASM16]] inside the [[Thrifty Megamart (Abandoned Site)|Thrifty Megamart]].
