'''Bewear''' (Japanese: '''キテルグマ''' ''Kiteruguma'') is a [[recurring wild Pokémon in the anime]]'s {{series|Sun & Moon}}. He appears to have appointed himself as {{TRT}}'s caretaker during their stay in the [[Alola]] [[region]].

{{Ash}} and {{AP|Pikachu}} first met Bewear in ''[[SM001|Alola to New Adventure!]]'' after they got lost in a forest while chasing after a {{p|Grubbin}}. Ash and Pikachu greeted him with a smile, but panicked and ran off upon seeing Bewear destroying trees nearby in joy. Bewear eventually lost the two after {{DL|Recurring wild Pokémon in the anime|Tapu Koko}} distracted him, and he sighed sadly.

Bewear met [[Jessie]], [[James]], {{MTR}}, and {{TP|Jessie|Wobbuffet}} in ''[[SM003|Loading the Dex!]]'', taking Jessie and James away from battle and to his den in the forest, while Meowth, Wobbuffet and {{TP|Jessie|Mimikyu}} followed them. In ''[[SM004|First Catch in Alola, Ketchum-Style!]]'', after Jessie caught Mimikyu at the den, Bewear proceeded to give them some honey before heading off. A tribe of wild {{p|Pikipek}} and {{p|Trumbeak}} soon came and stole all of the [[Berry|Berries]] in Bewear's den, so {{TRT}} agreed to not only catch the Pokémon, but return the Berries to Bewear out of gratitude for giving Team Rocket food and shelter. When Bewear picked up Team Rocket to take them back to the den, they had only retrieved the Berries.

In [[SM090]], Bewear prevented the trio from interfering in the latest crisis to hit Alola. He later encouraged them to assist in showering {{DL|Recurring wild Pokémon in the anime|Necrozma}} with light so it could return to its {{DL|List of Pokémon with form differences|Necrozma|normal form}}.

Bewear is a friendly and very hospitable Pokémon. After bringing {{TRT}} into his den, he began sharing the food he gathered with them and their Pokémon, and allowed them to stay. Bewear is very protective of Team Rocket, but his rescues can be unreliable. In ''[[SM012|The Sun, the Scare, the Secret Lair!]]'', Bewear even "rescued" the trio just before they were going to defeat Ash and his Pokémon in a fair fight. In ''[[SM073|Why Not Give Me a Z-Ring Sometime?]]'', Team Rocket went so far as to make decoy versions of themselves to make sure that Bewear didn't spirit them away before they got their [[Z-Ring]] from [[Nanu]]. He even went all the way to [[Kanto]] to rescue Team Rocket as seen in ''[[SM042|Alola, Kanto!]]''. Bewear's hospitality towards Team Rocket was also shown in ''[[SM011|Young Kiawe Had a Farm!]]'', where he was happy to lie and cuddle with them on a patch of grass. His hospitality was so well taken by Team Rocket that Jessie even tried to share some malasadas with him, an act that she would almost never do.

Bewear likes to keep his den tidy, hefting large boulders above his head to clear them out from the area in front of his entrance. He also has enormous physical strength and agility, as shown by his ninja-like movements when rescuing Team Rocket; and in ''[[SM014|Getting to Know You!]]'', when, among being presented a gift of malasadas, he almost strangled Jessie with joy.

Bewear is shown as being comforting of Team Rocket in ''[[SM021|One Journey Ends, Another Begins...]]'' where he was shown softly hugging Meowth, to console him, due to the fact that he was worried about {{AP|Litten}}. He also showed his softer side in ''[[SM039|Mallow and the Forest Teacher!]]'', by choosing to trade some bags of [[Honey]] that he had with a wild {{p|Oranguru}}'s {{DL|Pokémon Center Café|Drinks|Pinap Juice}}, despite the fact that Team Rocket was in the middle of battling against {{an|Mallow}}, her {{TP|Mallow|Steenee}}, and the Oranguru.

Bewear has been depicted as being strong. This was best demonstrated in ''[[SM061|A Mission of Ultra Urgency!]]'', when he encountered a {{p|Buzzwole}}; he was able to hold his own, only to stop when he realized that Team Rocket were nearby and subsequently grabbed them before fleeing. Thanks to his strength, he was also able to perform seemingly impossible feats, like jumping across rooftops in ''[[SM006|A Shocking Grocery Run!]]'', flying through the air by using his legs as a propeller in ''[[SM033|Big Sky, Small Fry!]]'', and running across the surface of the ocean from Kanto to Alola for at least three days in ''[[SM043|When Regions Collide!]]''.

When Bewear came to rescue Team Rocket in ''[[SM076|A Battle Hand-Off!]]'', he was persuaded by {{TP|Jessie|Mimikyu}} to hold off taking them back to Melemele Island. When Mimikyu was defeated, Bewear softly picked Mimikyu up and took them home.

Bewear is shown to enjoy hot springs for longer than normal humans and Pokémon can, as seen in the [[Poké Problem]] of [[SM086]], where he was seen continuing to relax in the hot springs at the [[Pokémon Paradise Resort]], even after Team Rocket jumped out of the hot spring due to their bodies becoming too hot.
