Grab the {{DL|Status ailment healing item|Parlyz Heal}}, fight Sage Chow, and climb up the western ladder.

Collect the {{DL|Battle item|X Accuracy}} and climb the southern ladder.

Pick up the {{DL|Potion|Potion}} and head north. It seems that Elder Li has just been defeated by {{ga|Silver}}. The elder scolds him for being too harsh on his Pokémon, then Silver leaves via an Escape Rope. Grab the [[Escape Rope]] to the east, then speak to Li to be drawn into battle.

The next destination is {{rt|32|Johto}} to the south, but detour to {{rt|36|Johto}} in the west first. Speak to the man to receive {{HM|06|Rock Smash}}, a move that can now be used anytime in the field, thanks to the Zephyr Badge. On Thursdays, Arthur of the [[Week Siblings]] can be found here; speaking to him will result in a {{DL|Type-enhancing item|Hard Stone}} on the first meeting, and a {{DL|List of Ribbons in the games|Careless Ribbon}} on subsequent meetings.
