In the anime
[[Jessie]] and [[James]] were attacked by a {{DL|List of alternately colored Pokémon in the anime|Pink Nidoking|pink}} Nidoking in ''[[EP088|In the Pink]]''.
 
A Nidoking appeared in the episode ''[[SS004|Showdown at the Oak Corral]]'', where it was trying to mate with Cassidy, (who was in a Nidoqueen costume at the time).
 
A Nidoking appeared in ''[[AG072|The Bicker the Better]]'', under the ownership of [[Oscar and Andi|Oscar]]. His girlfriend Andi had a Nidoqueen. They had a [[Double Battle]] with {{Ash}} and {{an|May}}, and due to Oscar and Andi's communication with each other, they were able to defeat Ash and May with relative ease.
Two Nidoking appeared in ''[[M12|Arceus and the Jewel of Life]]'', under the ownership of [[Damos]]. In the original timeline set up by the movie, they were used by Damos, who was under {{m|Hypnosis}}, to attack {{OBP|Arceus|M12}} with {{m|Shock Wave}}. When Ash and {{ashfr}} traveled to the past to prevent this, [[Marcus]], the one responsible for hypnotizing Damos, managed to use the Nidoking again to attack Arceus.
 
A Nidoking appeared in ''[[BW135|Mystery on a Deserted Island!]]''. It was first seen chasing a trio of {{p|Eevee}} before being intimidated into leaving by {{AP|Pikachu}}'s {{m|Iron Tail}}. It later attacked {{TRT}} but was defeated by them.
