The next morning at school, Ash is panicking as he can't find his [[Electrium Z]] as he looks in his backpack, under his desk and chair. {{an|Mallow}} asks what is wrong and offers to help as Ash explains what the problem is as his Normalium Z is still here. {{an|Lillie}} checks that his Electrium Z is the Z-Crystal that he had [[SM010|gotten]] from {{DL|Recurring wild Pokémon in the anime|Tapu Koko}}. Ash confirms it and says that is super special as he got it from Tapu Koko and worries that Tapu Koko is going to be so mad and {{an|Sophocles}} mentions that {{an|Kiawe}} will be as well as Ash imagines Kiawe finding out and is furious and imagines Kiawe ordering {{TP|Kiawe|Turtonator}} to use {{m|Inferno Overdrive}} on him. Sophocles suggests he gives up while he can which Mallow, {{an|Lana}}, and {{an|Lillie}} agree but Rotom tells them to leave it to him as wearing his Laki wig, introduces himself as Alolan Detective Rotom promising to get Ash's Electrium Z back. Rotom becomes excited and goes to search for it. Standing above the school by the bell, Rotom looks through binoculars over the schoolyard but notices it is too big to find something small so asks {{DL|Samson Oak|Komala}} if it had seen Ash's Electrium Z but Komala remains asleep as Pikachu begins to tug at Rotom's wig which makes him look back at the schoolyard before returning to Komala remembering that Komala is always asleep as Pikachu makes Rotom turn around again before going back to Komala but another tug of the wig with nothing makes Rotom angry at Pikachu. Kiawe angrily shouts that it makes no sense as Lillie asks Rotom to play back the footage to where before they began training with Rotom does.
