[[Paul]]'s Murkrow evolved into a {{TP|Paul|Honchkrow}} prior to ''[[DP066|Lost Leader Strategy!]]''. Honchkrow made its first physical appearance in ''[[DP100|Aiding the Enemy]]'', where it battled against {{AP|Ash's Turtwig|Grotle}}. It appeared again in ''[[DP118|Pursuing a Lofty Goal!]]'', where it participated in the [[Squallville]] [[PokéRinger]]. However, it lost to [[Ash's Staraptor]], which evolved in the middle of their match. Paul scolded it after its loss, saying that its reaction time was too slow.

Multiple {{DL|Pirate (BW135)|Honchkrow}} appeared in ''[[BW135|Mystery on a Deserted Island!]]'', where at least one them was part of the {{OBP|Pirate|BW135}}'s Pokémon crew. Multiple Honchkrow later appeared on the island with the treasure. When {{Ash}} and {{ashfr}} went to the island, the Honchkrow were the first Pokémon the group saw.

{{DL|Allegra|Honchkrow}} debuted in ''[[M10|The Rise of Darkrai]]'', under the ownership of a {{pkmn|Coordinator}} named [[Allegra]]. It was seen trying to clear away the [[fog]] surrounding [[Alamos Town]] with {{m|Defog}}.
