A handful of Pokémon may fit into either the extraterrestrial or extradimensional categories, but do not quite meet the necessary requirements for either. For example, [[p|Minior]] is said to be formed in the Ozone layer of Earth, therefore coming from space but not a truly different planet; likewise, [[p|Rayquaza]] is stated to live in the Ozone layer as well, but comes to Earth in times of crisis and is known to roost at [[Sky Pillar]]. Also of note is [[p|Hoopa]]; while it is known to be capable of opening portals to other worlds and dimensions, no evidence exists to suggest it actually originated in one. Finally, several Pokémon species can be captured in the [[Ultra Space Wilds]] that are known to be native to the Pokémon world, among them [[p|Drapion]], [[p|Dragalge]] and several [[Legendary Pokémon]]. It is unknown whether or not these Pokémon are native to Ultra Space in addition to the Pokémon world, were brought there by Ultra Wormholes created by the Cosmog line, or are present due to some other factor. Zinnia's theory from Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire suggests that Ultra Space may in fact be an alternate version of the Pokémon world itself, supported by the presence of Anabel in Sun and Moon (who hails from the world in which [[Mega Evolution]] never existed) and evidence which suggests that [[Ultra Ruin]] may in fact be an alternate version of [[Hau'oli City]]. There are many cases of Pokémon that have been suggested to hail from other worlds, but have never been confirmed to do so. Ultimately, the exact extent of extraterrestrial and extradimensional Pokémon remains to be seen.
