Maybe I'm looking too deep into this but could Meowth's mecha in this episode possibly be a reference to Mobile Fighter G Gundam? Because the inside of the mecha seems to resemble the inside of the mechas of the series as well as his wristbands in the mech similar to that of the Mobile Trace System in the series. I'm probably thinking this too much but just wondering.
