:Generation VII takes place at least 10 years after Emerald, because of the amount of time [[Anabel]] has been in Alola. All the other gaps have a canonical length, so when you add it all up{{tt|*|3 years from III-IV, 2 years from BW to B2W2 and VI, 2 years from VI to VII}}, the gap from IV to V can be no less than three years.
