Stance Change (Ability)

24 bytes added, 17:37, 18 February 2017
Effect: If we're doing a Gen 7 subsection, we need to have a subsection for prior gen(s).
===In battle===
====Generation VI====
Stance Change allows Aegislash to switch between Shield Forme (high defensive stats, low offensive stats) and Blade Forme (high offensive stats, low defensive stats). Aegislash is always in Shield Forme if it is not battling, and as such, switching out reverts it to Shield Forme.
{{m|Role Play}}, {{m|Gastro Acid}}, {{m|Worry Seed}}, {{m|Simple Beam}}, and {{m|Entrainment}} fail if the target has the Ability Stance Change. {{m|Skill Swap}} fails if either Pokémon has Stance Change. Stance Change cannot be copied by {{a|Trace}}, {{a|Power of Alchemy}}, or {{a|Receiver}}. Stance Change cannot be replaced by {{a|Mummy}} or suppressed by {{m|Core Enforcer}}. If a Pokémon other than Aegislash obtains Stance Change with {{a|Imposter}} or {{m|Transform}}, the Pokémon will not change Formes.
====Generation VII====
{{status|Sleep}} and {{status|confusion}} now prevent Aegislash from changing Formes.
