:I really don't think it's known that "far" beyond DBZ, because I certainly didn't know, and I've been a bit of a DBZ fan (though not so much on the internet). More to the point, that "pose" is incredibly generic. There's nothing about it that should make it iconically DBZ, except to people steeped in the fandom/memes.
