A Pokémon with Multitype cannot be affected by type changing moves, such as {{m|Soak}}; however, it can be affected by {{m|Forest's Curse}} and {{m|Trick-or-Treat}}. A Pokémon with Multitype is unaffected by {{m|Entrainment}} and {{m|Simple Beam}}. Multitype cannot turn into {{a|Mummy}}.

If a Pokémon {{m|transform}}s into Arceus, the Pokémon will now be in the same form as the target Arceus, regardless of its own held item.
Multitype will now only prevent the effects of {{m|Knock Off}}, {{m|Trick}}, {{m|Switcheroo}}, {{m|Thief}} or {{m|Covet}} if the target is specifically holding a [[Plate]].
