Personally I disagree with Carole Wethorfords opinion. Jynx is tinted purple, not brown. The original desighn was jet black, not brown. Is black magic racist? Are shadows racist? Are black cats racist? If so than she would have alot of problems with fiction. Second, Jynx has blonde hair. The only blondes I know are caucasions. Wethorforde must have a lot of problems with evil.{{unsigned|SeanWheeler}}

:That may all be, but doesn't change the fact there was controversy about that Pokémon. This is, quite frankly, not the page to discuss whether the controversy was justified, the most you could discuss whether it belongs into the article.--[[User:Afrael|Afrael]] 18:02, 4 April 2010 (UTC)

:If there is a racial controversy just because Jynx was black, the shouldn't there have been an equal issue with the characters eating watermelon in "What You Seed is What You Get" (episode AG41/E315). Based on the "[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Watermelon_stereotype Watermelon stereotype]", I don't think so on either account. But the ridiculousness of both seem to be equal. -- harliquin_nz (26/07/16)
