the idea Archaeopteryx is the oldest bird is debatable, it is only the first of the "missing link" birds to be discovered (thus why its name means "first bird"), and the first bird suspected to be able to achieve powered flight. But earlier specimens of bird do exist, and the ability to fly does not define a bird. the add-on "the first bird" in this Pokémon origin section is just plain misinformation. its a common mistake, but just adding "suspected to be capable of powered flight" would be much more accurate and a huge improvement. | |||
