Exactly what happens if a pokemon learns a move via tutor or TM or otherwise already knows a move, then levels up to a level where it learns it by level up? I would imagine it would fail to learn the move, but does any message show, or does it possibly even succeed at learning the move? I can see in Smeargle's case in particular that you might want to have the same move multiple times (two Sketches when you haven't decided what to make the first one yet) | |||
