::I feel like that broad definition of "unobtainable" makes the list completely useless, though. I think we should do what you just said about notation. Then the list would function both ways. All a user would have to do is consult the notes to know whether its shiny-locked or completely unobtainable. Knowing whether something can ever be Shiny is the kind of thing that is useful on a page about Shiny Pokémon; knowing if a Pokémon can be Shiny when obtained in a particular way is typically more useful to include on the page about obtaining it that way, but this page does also mention Shiny locked Pokémon by generation.
