This card was included in the English {{TCG|Ancient Origins}} expansion, first released in the Japanese {{TCG|Bandit Ring}} expansion, with artwork by [[Akira Komayama]]. It was later reprinted with new artwork by [[Miki Tanaka]] in the English {{TCG|Generations}} expansion. A special Holofoil variant of the Generations print with a {{wp|Toys "R" Us}} stamp will be made available during {{DL|Pokémon 20th Anniversary|Pokémon Day}}, a special event to be held for children on February 27, 2016. A {{TCG|XY Black Star Promos|promotional reprint}} of this card was released in the [[XY BREAK TCG Series merchandise|European Shiny Mega Gyarados collection]] and given out in America on March 19th to children at the Toys 'R' Us Pokémon Day using the [[Shiny Pokémon|shiny form]] of {{p|Magikarp}} illustrated by [[Saya Tsuruta]].
