His co-worker, [[Nazuna]], has fallen in love with Pokémon 7, but doesn't think highly of Hiori. The series seems to deal with Pokémon 7's various encounters with criminals while Hiori tries desperately to keep his secret identity safe from Mako, a magazine reporter eager to uncover Pokémon 7's true identity. However, the story quickly develops into a conflict between Hiori, his self-proclaimed [[rival]] [[Rocco]], and [[Team Galactic]], in order to rescue Hiori's kidnapped twin sister, {{OBP|Lily|Pokémon 7}}.
