===Key cards===
*'''{{TCG ID|Great Encounters|Porygon2|49}}'''
*'''{{TCG ID|Base Set|Professor Oak|88}}''' - Essentially a souped-up ''Set Up''
*'''{{TCG ID|Platinum|Broken Time-Space|104}}''' - Allows the player to evolve its Pokémon on the same turn they are played; this is needed to evolve on the first turn, and to play several Seeker in a row with Porygon2.
*'''{{TCG ID|Aquapolis|Boost Energy|145}}''' - For Drifblim's ''Take Away'' attack.
===Other Pokémon===
*'''{{TCG ID|Legends Awakened|Azelf|19}}''' - Allows the player to get any Pokémon from its Prize cards. It has a good synergy with {{TCG ID|Team Rocket|Rattata|66}}, allowing the player to get the Prize card of its choice on top of his deck using Trickery.
*'''{{TCG ID|Legends Awakened|Regice|36}}''' - Counters a {{TCG ID|Arceus|Spiritomb|32}} start, if the opponent has another Pokémon on its Bench.
*'''{{TCG ID|Phantom Forces|Lysandre's Trump Card|99}}''' - Allows the player re-cycle through the deck. It also gives the player a second chance if the donk is missed.
===Other Trainers/Supporters/Stadiums===
*'''{{TCG ID|HeartGold & SoulSilver|Pokémon Collector|97}}''' - Used to get several Basic Pokémon into the player's hand. Also gives better odds to get a Regice against a {{TCG ID|Arceus|Spiritomb|32}} start.
===Energy cards===
*'''{{TCG ID|Aquapolis|Boost Energy|145}}''' - For Drifblim's ''Take Away'' attack.
