 In the {{chap|Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire}}, Drake assists Steven and [[Mr. Stone]] in preventing a meteoroid from crashing into the planet. Due to Drake's expertise on Dragon-type Pokémon, he is asked with assisting in investigating the cave paintings in [[Granite Cave]]. Afterward, they travel to [[Sea Mauville]] to use a machine called the [[Ultimate weapon|Absorber]] to power a dimensional shifter that will transport the meteoroid to another location. The process is interrupted  by [[Zinnia]] and her small army of former Team Magma and Aqua Grunts. The group attacks to steal and destroy the dimensional shifter, but a {{p|Hoopa}} appears and causes {{adv|Sapphire}} and the shifter to be transported to somewhere else.
