Brendon, why are you using the incomplete HG/SS picture as the header picture? The header picture needs to be complete, like the one that Darknesslover5000 put just above this, except a .png, not a .jpg. --<span style="color:#800000">O</span><span style="color:#C8A2C8">z</span> 09:46, 24 December 2009 (UTC)

Masara town?
Is that just a Johto thing, because personally I don't really like (let alone have) any Johto region games.
Where is it called 'Masara town'?

:That's the name of the town in Japanese. <span style="color:Blue;">--Pokemaster</span><span style="color:Blue;">97</span> 00:30, 17 December 2011 (UTC)

Red and Blue are the two other trainers
Professor Oak in the anime is stated that two other trainers took Charmander and Bulbasuar. Gary was shown to have gotten squirtle in the anime, and Ash got Pikachu. Blue starting pokemon in the manga from professor Oak is Charmander, while Red is bulbasuar. Coincidence ? I don't think so. Ash and Gary are based loosely on Red and Blue in the game, while the other two are direct homage to red, and blue from the manga. Shonenhikada
