Unlike previous challenge events, which featured a number of possible teams, the Super! Mega Evolution Battle only featured one, comprising {{p|Kyogre|Primal Kyogre}}, {{p|Groudon|Primal Groudon}}, and {{p|Rayquaza|Mega Rayquaza}}. Players who managed to fill the Catch Gauge of any one Pokémon were awarded either a {{OBP|Primal Kyogre|Super! Mega Evolution Battle}} or a {{OBP|Primal Groudon|Super! Mega Evolution Battle}} Tretta at random. All players were awarded this Tretta as a participation prize regardless of the outcome, though players who managed to fill the Catch Gauge of all three opposing Pokémon were awarded another copy of this Tretta.
