This card was first released as part of the English {{TCG|Dragons Exalted}} expansion, originating from the Japanese {{TCG|Dragon Blade}} expansion. It was later reprinted as one of the {{TCG|BW-P Promotional cards}} with new artwork by [[5ban Graphics]] and given away with the purchase of either a {{TCG|Garchomp Half Deck}} or {{TCG|Hydreigon Half Deck}} to those present at the Garchomp•Hydreigon Cup, part of the Spring Tournament held nationwide in Japan during April 2012. It was also given away in the same manner to those present at the Battle Carnival Spring 2012 events held at four locations in May and June 2012. This print was released as one of the {{TCG|BW Black Star Promos}} as the {{TCG|Prerelease cards|Prerelease promo}} for the Dragons Exalted expansion. It was reprinted in the English {{TCG|Boundaries Crossed}} expansion with different artwork by [[5ban Graphics]] as an Ultra-Rare {{TCG|Secret card}}, originating from the Japanese {{TCG|Cold Flare}} expansion.
