Information
In Japan, this Half Deck was released on July 7, 2001 to commemorate the theatrical release of the fourth Pokémon movie. This version includes VS and a Darkness Energy.
In August 2001, this Half deck was released during the 2001 Tropical Mega Battle to each player in his or her native language. Rocket's Tyranitar was replaced by the P Promotional print of Tropical Wind. The cards were produced by MEDIAFACTORY, the company that produces the cards in Japanese, instead of by Wizards of the Coast, technically causing them to be unofficially released in English. In addition, they retained Japanese placings and font styles. During the three rounds at the Tropical Mega Battle, it was revealed that one of the cards has a misprint on it, as compared to the other countries' versions. The first round had to be replayed.

On August 26, 2001, a slightly altered version of this product was given to players at the 2001 Tropical Mega Battle. VS and the Darkness Energy were replaced by the P Promotional cards print of P Promo. Each player received the Half Deck, some in their native language and some in English. The players that received a deck in their native language were: twelve in Japanese, six in English, and one each in German, French, and Italian. And the players whom received the deck in English were: one each in Dutch, Portuguese, Danish, and Swedish. The cards were produced by MEDIAFACTORY, the company that produced the cards in Japanese, instead of by Wizards of the Coast, so they retained Japanese placings and font styles. During the three rounds at the Tropical Mega Battle, it was revealed that the English print of Tyranitar had a misprint on it, which caused the first round to be replayed. The Half Deck was later given away at the 2002 World Championships with the error fixed.
Like many other Half deck, the Tyranitar Half Deck also includes a rulebook, Glossary (TCG), Special Conditions, and a Coin featuring Celebi.

Like many other Half deckDecks, the Tyranitar Half Deck also includes a rulebook, Appendix:Glossary (TCG), Special Conditions, and a custom Coin featuring Celebi.
