This card was originally released in the {{TCG|Diamond & Pearl}} expansion with artwork by [[Ken Sugimori]]. It was later reprinted in the {{TCG|Diamond & Pearl Trainer Kit}}. A promotional version with a gold foil snowflake stamp was one of 24 cards released in the {{merch|Diamond & Pearl|Pokémon Countdown Calendar}} in October 2008. In Japan, a Cosmos Holofoil promotional print was also released as part of the DP Card Exchange campaign held at various Pokémon Centers in November 2007.<br>

The card was reprinted in {{TCG|POP Series 6}} with different artwork by [[Kouki Saitou]]. The Japanese version was available as part of a CoroCoro Magazine Card Exchange campaign held in December 2006. A Cosmos Holofoil variant of the POP Series 6 print was released in March 2008 as one of three cards available in the {{merch|Diamond & Pearl|Great Encounters Blisters}}.
