In the episode, {{TRT}} hired photographer Todd Snap to "capture" {{AP|Pikachu}}, not realizing that Todd meant to capture Pikachu ''on film''. Photography has also appeared in the {{pkmn|anime}}. Photography appearsappeared again in the episode ''[[DP046|A Maze-ing Race!]]'', where Team Rocket triestried to take a group picture of Ash's, {{an|Dawn}}'s, and {{an|Brock}}'s Pokémon in exchange for a map. In ''[[DP103|Jumping Rocket Ship!]]'', Team Rocket disguisedisguised themselves as photographers in an attempt to capture the Pokémon of Ash and his friends.
 
In ''[[BW001|In The Shadow of Zekrom!]]'', Ash meetsmet a beginning Trainer, named [[Trip]], who documents his {{pkmn|journey}} through the [[Unova]] [[region]] by taking pictures.
 
In ''[[BW054|The Four Seasons of Sawsbuck!]]'', Ash meetsmet a photographer named {{un|Robert}}, whose goal was getting a picture of {{DL|Form differences|Deerling and Sawsbuck|all four forms}} of {{p|Sawsbuck}} together. [[Robert's grandfather|His grandfather]] was also a photographer who had accomplished that and had taken pictures of Pokémon outside of the [[Unova]] region.
 
In ''[[XY031|The Cave of Trials!]]'', Ash, his friends, and [[Korrina]], who was traveling with them at the time, had a photo of themselves together taken by a photographer named [[McGinty]] in [[Geosenge Town]].
