Talk:Feebas (Pokémon): Difference between revisions

I think that there might be a second reason for the resemblance of Feebas's name to that of Phoebus; Feebas has lots of similarities with Magikarp, right? And it is accepted in this wiki that the reason for the "magic" in Magikarp's name is a joke because everyone sees him as basically worthless, so maybe that's part of the reason for Feebas's resemblance to Feebas; it's ironic. == With regards to the trendy phrase in Dewford... ==
There was mention on the talk page for Route 119 that the trendy phrase may change on its own over time. However, it was an old discussion and it seems more appropriate to discuss here since the only real purpose of the trendy phrase in Gen III is controlling Feebas tiles. The trendy phrase page itself doesn't say anything about it changing on its own, but I wonder if it might just be something that people haven't studied much since there's no game-driven motivation to mess with it once you manage to find a Feebas spawn location. So, my questions are;
:1. Is there any evidence that the trendy phrase will change on its own?
:2. If so, is it a 'clock-based event' that stops when the internal battery dies? (Meaning Feebas spawning tiles will remain permanent as long as the player doesn't manually change the trendy phrase.)
