:::::Years ago I got Pokérus in Gold from battling (not catching) a wild Tangela outside of Mt. Silver. I knew it was something special at the time but not how it worked, so I saved and turned off the game but neglected to box my affected Persian and it cured overnight without spreading to any other party members, whoops. ::::::I had the same happen in Crystal a few months ago. It was late and I wasn't paying close attention to the game at the time. I went to a Pokecenter to heal my Pokemon and was looking away and just mashing 'A' waiting for the dialog to finish when I looked down and saw some weird info before the thank you message. I looked at my party and saw my Zubat had Pokerus but I wanted to know what Nurse Joy had said. I talked to her again and it was the normal spiel.
