There was also significant dispute amongst Pokémon players online over the translation of the Japanese set name. Some claimed that "Fierce Fighting in Broken Space" was a more accurate translation of the name and should be used in spite of the fact that "Intense Fight in the Destroyed Sky" was more commonly used; however, the latter translation was ultimately deemed to be the more accurate of the two.

===Trivia===
* The set includes {{TCG ID|Stormfront|Heatran LV.X|97}}, continuing a trend in which promotional LV.X cards are reprinted in the set released immediately after their promotional release. This was also the case with {{TCG|Lucario}}, {{TCG|Garchomp}} and {{TCG|Porygon-Z}}.
* The set includes the first Pokémon of the DP Series to have a retreat cost of five ({{TCG ID|Stormfront|Mamoswine|21}}).
* The set's booster pack designs feature {{P|Infernape}}, {{P|Torterra}}, {{P|Regigigas}} and {{P|Dusknoir}}.
* The set's prerelease card is {{TCG ID|Stormfront|Piloswine|46}}.
* The set includes three {{TCG|retro cards}} included as {{TCG|secret cards}}, namely {{TCG ID|Stormfront|Charmander|101}}, {{TCG ID|Stormfront|Charmeleon|102}} and {{TCG ID|Stormfront|Charizard|103}}, that are not part of the actual card list and are re-releases of the cards originally contained in the {{TCG|Base Set}}.
