'''Porta Vista''' (Japanese:  '''アオプルコ''' ''Aopulco'' and '''ハトバポート''' ''Hatoba Port'') is a location exclusive to the [[Pokémon anime]]. It is located somewhere in between [[Vermilion City]] and [[Maiden's Peak]]. It should be noted that in the Japanese versions of both ''[[EP018|Beauty and the Beach]]'' and ''[[EP019|Tentacool & Tentacruel]]'', Porta Vista was actually two different towns (Aopulco and Hatoba Port, respectively).

The fact that two different towns were combined into one in the dub is a side effect of ''[[EP018|Beauty and the Beach]]'''s initial pulling from the rotation.  Without that episode in the rotation, the dub portrayed a wide shot of Aopulco from [[EP017|the prior episode]] to lead into the inside of Hatoba Port in [[EP019|the next episode]], both of which were called Porta Vista to attempt to conceal any plotholes.  When the missing episode was finally dubbed, the towns remained combined to avoid any huge continuity errors between it and the episodes surrounding it.
