Pokémon League entrance exam instructor: Difference between revisions

The first out of three Pokémon received, {{Ash}} sent out Weezing to battle against the instructor's {{p|Flareon}}. Again, he wasn't too pleased with his choice. {{Todd}} noted that his response held the same expression as Weezing and could not help but take a few pictures, which angered Ash all the more. Weezing first successfully dodged Flareon's {{m|Flamethrower}} and then retaliated with a {{m|Smog}} attack. Flareon was then told to launch another Flamethrower at the Smog but it was sent flying back when there was an explosion caused by the collision of the two attacks. Weezing then used {{m|SmokeScreen}} while Flareon used {{m|Leer}} but its Leer was unable to penetrate through the smoke. Weezing then won the battle by using a {{m|Tackle}} while Flareon was still trapped in the smoke. This was the first battle won by Ash in the battle portion of the exam.

Later, when Team Rocket attacked, Ash had Weezing use SmokeScreen on [[James]], making him unable to breathe. Weezing then used {{m|Explosion}} to send Team Rocket blasting off.
