Beta is not the correct term to use for changed/removed content in video games, as the term "beta" refers to the stage of development where the game is tested before being shipped (i think?), it is highly unlikely huge amounts of data would be removed from the game at such a late point. Calling them "Beta elements" is disgustingly inaccurate. On the other hand, referring to such unused/changed content as things changed from the "Development cycle" is a more acceptable term.
